AST meeting with Gary Lewin and Colin Lewin at 20.30 on Tues 9 June

Join our discussion on all things medical including COVID-19 and player fitness issues ahead of the Premier League Restart

We are pleased to announce that the next meeting of the AST will take place on Zoom on Tuesday 9 June at 20.30.

Joining us as special guests will be Gary Lewin and Colin Lewin who will be well known to Arsenal fans for their work in the medical teams at Arsenal and in an international capacity.

Gary Lewin was Arsenal physio for 22 years from 1986 to 2008 and was with the England team from 1996 to 2017.

Colin Lewin joined Arsenal as assistant to Gary in 1995 after having qualified at Brighton University and became Head Physio at Arsenal in 2008 when Gary left for full time with England. He completed 10 years in that role leaving in May 2018.

They both have vast experience and knowledge in sports medicine, physiotherapy and rehabilitation and now run the Lewin Sports Injury Clinic which provides an unrivalled, individualised care pathway from injury to return-to-sport.

The return of the Premier League poses many medical questions including the safety of all the participants from COVOD-19 through to how players who haven’t played for a long time will cope with the pressures of a busy fixture list from June 17th. We look forward to discussing these issues with them. There will also be a quick update on the results of the AST survey on the return to play and also a look at the latest financial position.

The meeting will take place on Zoom and members will have the chance to ask questions on the night but can also submit any questions you have in advance after you register. All members have received an invite in their newsletter and must register to attend - as soon as you register you'll receive the link to the event and other details via an email. If you have an Arsenal supporting friend who you think would like to join the AST and take part they can do so by joining here and contacting us at info@arsenaltrust.org
